Firewood is built for narrative features and limited series in the ten million dollar range and up. Histories at the scale they deserve, researched before a frame is designed, and shown to the people whose history it is.

For 150+ years, the southern plains of the US belonged to the Comanche, the Nʉmʉnʉʉ (the People). The Spanish brought horses from the Old World and the Comanches became masters. The mobility, advantage and wealth horses created gave them unprecedented range and power, instilling fear and reverence from the Colonial powers and tribes in their range. At their peak they controlled 250,000 square miles, dubbed by the Spanish Comanchería, a region larger than the countries of France, Spain and England. The finest light cavalry on the continent, they stymied Spanish, and then later, Mexican northern expansion into the US, and are why Texans created the Texas Rangers. But their history is more than horses and war.
